On the Golf Course

Junior golf is just part of First Tee. Through our program that strengthens character, kids will learn life skills that stay with them into the rest of their lives, like:

  • Understanding and managing emotions
  • Resolving conflicts
  • Setting up step-by-step goals
  • Planning for the future
  • Appreciating diversity

At First Tee – Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky, we offer multi-week sessions in spring, summer and fall at a variety of area golf course teaching locations. We welcome all kids regardless of background or means. No previous golf experience is needed and we provide all equipment. Our chapter serves Hamilton, Clermont, Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.

The Power of Relationships

At First Tee, we know success hinges on our Coaches and we’ve proved the best outcomes for kids happen when they can form meaningful, quality relationships with positive adult role models. All our classes are led by a Head Coach who is assisted by a team of volunteers, and typically also a golf professional best suited to teach swing mechanics. All of them are trained to understand First Tee coaching philosophy and the building blocks of our unique curriculum. To the kids, each of them is “COACH.”

First Tee gave (my daughter) confidence and helped her learn how to set goals and dream big. She met great kids and coaches.  She always says it feels like home to her.”  — First Tee GCNKY Parent, Dec 2016
